It’s overwhelming how much technology transforms the way we travel. Mobile check-ins increase customer satisfaction tenfold, content from travel brands helps travelers make a final decision about destinations, and the least of 85 percent of millennials don’t bother about personal data sharing as long as it gives them the desired personalization. AR tours, data-driven flight shopping, virtual hotel rooms – this is just the tip of the TravelTech iceberg.
Here, on Redmonkey, you can discover new opportunities for your travel business, ask about the integration of certain technology, and of course – help others by sharing your experiences and reviews.
The Redmonkey team developed one of the largest travel startups in Ukraine - farvater.travel
The service developed by us aggregates and processes about 10 million tours in different directions for 250 thousand hotels with different departure dates and many other parameters.
An intelligent scanning system for "dirty" data was created. At the peak of the holiday season, our system "passes" through itself up to 200 million different combinations of tours.
The travel platform was developed using the following technology stack:
- .net framework and .net core (c#) as backend
- MS SQL Server as main database
- JS + React as frontend framework
We also used the sharding technique to separate and store large amounts of data, which are then used for analysis and forecasting.
The simplified principle of operation of the system can be described by the following scheme
In addition to the system of data collection, processing and analysis, we have created a CRM system for processing bookings and working with customers.
